Long Drivers of America

Adams Golf was founded 1987 by Barney Adams. Originally it was a golf equipment component supplier and contract manufacturer in West Texas. Barney moved the company to Dallas in the 1990s to concentrate on custom fitting and new product development.

In 2008, Adams Golf teamed up with Long Drivers of America to become the official driver of the event. From this they went on to create the Adams Insight XTD Prototype 9015D and 9016D drivers. Each model came with super stiff graphite shafts with lofts as low as 6 degrees.

After much success with the Insight XTD prototype models, The Adams designers went into overdrive to create a driver that was longer than anything out there. They came up with the A4 Tech and Speedline Series. These originally were only produced for the RE/MAX world long drive championship, but were brought into mass production for the amateur golfers seeking maximum distance. These then gave way to the creation of the Speedline 9032LD, which became the Official Driver of Long Drivers of America and the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship. In 2009, the Adams Speedline 9032LD captured all 3 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship titles

The RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship has evolved out of the National Long Drive Championship, which began in 1975. It has grown from a mostly low-key event to one that includes golfers from virtually every corner of the world with competitors coming from more than 15 countries for the chance to win the purse worth over $450,000.

Canadian and Adams Brand Ambassador Jamie Sadlowski has emerged as the world's premier power golfer Having captured back-to-back RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship titles in 2008 and 2009.

Sadlowski, a former junior hockey player who supports St. Paul, Alberta, electrifies the supporting galleries with his fearless, full-bore golf swing. He routinely registers clubhead speed of more than 140 mph and ball speed exceeding 210 mph with his Adams Speedline driver.

In contrast to his contemporaries on the Long Drivers of America (LDA) circuit, who resemble NFL linebackers, Sadlowski is 5ft11 and weighs 170 pounds, But his unique combination of flexibility, strength and ferocious speed have produced a series of dominating performances, dating back to two RE/MAX junior world long drive titles in his teens.
