Callaway’s history as a club manufacturer goes back to 1982. The following thirty years have
seen Callaway Golf continually at the forefront of golf club technology; from computer controlled
milling of their putters, to probably the most iconic ranges in golf, the Big Bertha Driver, and
their famous Variable Face Thickness Technology. In 2011 their revolutionary new Forged Composite
Diablo Octane and Razor Hawk drivers lead the way in golf club technology, demonstrating that
Callaway have produced the most technically advanced drivers available.
Callaway Golf acquired Odyssey Sport Inc. in 1997 after they became the #1 putter in golf.
From 2000 their White Hot putter inserts became more and more refined with multi-layer construction
and improvements in materials to increase feedback and control. In 2009 the new multi-layer White
Ice insert was introduced with a firmer inner core that performs better with today’s, softer golf
balls. Now D.A.R.T. Technology ensures that the face of the putter aligns to the target by helping
the brain to complete images that the eye doesn’t see, promoting consistent contact.
