Massive congratulations go to Phil Mickelson who has joined the World Golf Hall of fame.
Mickelson was honoured alongside Sandy Lyle, legendary commentator and former player Peter Alliss, former LPGA star Hollis Stacy and journalist Dan Kenkins.
Four-time major winner Mickelson was delighted to be joining such an elite list at the relatively young age of 41.
“Since I was a kid and first picked up my golf club, I've been living my dream, and I want to thank you for this great honour,” he said.
“It's still fun. I think that it's cool to look back on accomplishments and I'll have an opportunity over the coming years to try to accomplish more.
“When we were going through the lockers and looking back at the greats of the game, people I never actually met or spent a lot of time with, guys like Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Gene Sarazen... to think that my career is in the Hall of Fame along with theirs is something that's pretty cool.
“That's something that hasn't really hit me yet. I think it will later on as my career winds down and I reflect on how cool it is to be in the same exhibit as these greats.”
