John Letters T9+ Fairway Wood

  • For over 90 years John Letters have been at the forefront of golf club innovation and the use of ground-breaking technologies, making the game more enjoyable for every golfer!
  • The great looking John Letters T9+ fairway wood uses discretional weighting to push more weight in the heel and toe areas for maximum forgiveness and stability on off centre strikes.
  • The clean and contemporary lines inspire confidence at address and a low profile face helps to lower the centre of gravity making it easy to get the ball airborne from virtually any lie.
  • A special Maraging steel face transfers more energy at impact for increased distance.
  • 'Feel Cell' technology in the sole of the clubhead helps to disperse vibrations at impact, giving an improved sound and solid feel.
  • Placing a large amount of the club head's weight further back, increases the MOI (Moment Of Inertia) to reduce club head twisting on off-centre strikes for more accuracy.
  • A simple, yet visually attractive JL symbol sits on the crown for easy sweetspot alignment.
  • The John Letters T9+ fairway features a state-of-the-art Aldila 'Tour Gold' graphite shaft. This ultra lightweight shaft gives maximum distance while still maintaining a controlled ball flight and supreme accuracy.
  • A top of the range, soft feel, midsize Winn DSi grip is fitted to each of the clubs for great traction and comfort in all conditions.
  • The matching headcover is included FREE when you place your order through the website.

A great fairway wood, with a superb grip!

They have used a decent shaft here and the head is a nice size and shape, offering plenty of reassurance at address, unlike some of the square or almost triangular things that I see in some stores!

I find it easy to get the ball up in the air and it carries very far with plenty of roll. The sound at impact is nice, not too tinny or too dull. The included magnetic head cover is very clever and looks great.

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a club only for he high handicapper. Whilst it is very forgiving, it is also easy to shape shots with this club too, for those nearer the single figure handicap.

For me, a 3 wood is a club that I will likely only turn to 3 or 4 times in a round (if that) so I don't see the need to spend hundreds on this piece of kit. If you are in the market for an affordable fairway wood that feels anything but cheap, then I suggest you give this a try.

Was recommended this by staff at new Edinburgh store after showing interest in Mizuno woods and after a few hits into the virtual fairway I was sold on it immediately.

I'm a high handicapper golfer and its a great club to have in the bag if you dont have great confidence with the driver (which I dont and it helps my game ten fold).

This fairway 3 Wood can be described in one simple word

              FANTASTIC.

I have also recently purchased a JL 4 Hybrid which is also FANTASTIC

Both are well worth the investment.

Comments about John Letters T9+ Fairway Wood:

I was looking to spend about [£xxx] on a fairway wood for which a special offer on Ping G15 for [£xxx] looked really attractive until one of the shop's pros asked if I had considered a John Letters club. To be honest not at all because as for I'm sure for most people I gravitate towards the well known "premium" brands. Well I took his advice and gave it a test drive against the Ping fairway. Well what a great club the Letters proved to be. The Ping, in my opinion, was not [£xxx] better, quite the opposite. Okay so you don't get a Ping cover sitting in your golf bag to show to your mates but I'm confident that will get some great scores sitting on your scorecard which for me is even better. Go on get over your brand snobbishness and give a JL fairway a go. Trust me, you connect with this is and it's as good as any of your premium branded clubs.
