  • The name RocketBallz came from PGA Tour Professional Dustin Johnson after he hit the first prototype - "It goes like a rocket!" The designers and engineers have stuck with the quote ever since and the RocketBallz series was born.
  • Sean Toulon, Executive Vice President of TaylorMade - “To hold a RocketBallz metalwood in your hands is to possess confidence, power, speed and distance potential that will regularly and quite literally redefine the long game for golfers!”
  • The TaylorMade RocketBallz (RBZ) fairway wood has been developed specifically to help increase ball speed which in turn will allow you to generate more distance, this can be up to 17 yards!
  • The RocketBallz RBZ Tour fairway wood comes with a similar shape and face size to that of the standard Rocketballz fairway, but with a slightly smaller address profile, a more open face angle, and toe weighted centre of gravity.
  • Behind the face lies the extraordinary 'Speed pocket' which has been added to dramatically boost the overall head and face flexibility. This promotes an immense increase in distance!
  • The slightly deeper face and a COG that is further forward than traditional fairway woods gives you a more efficient, higher launch angle with less spin for even more distance.
  • The RocketBallz Fairway Woods has been developed with some key aims. TaylorMade wanted to create a fairway wood which had a durable yet flexible sole and face with a deeper face design and a low COG so it interact well with the turf.
  • Made from high strength 455 steel, the powerful face plate has been welded to a cast body. This face allows the club face to be stronger and more durable than standard club faces.
  • The distinctive matte white crown is paired with a devilish black face making it much easier to 'see' the ball at address and aid alignment for extra accuracy and confidence. The head also features some small striking green colour accents to make your club look as good in the bag as it does at address.
  • The incorporation of deeper face, low-and-forward CG and RocketBallz technology has allowed TaylorMade to create the first steel fairway wood that reaches USGA/R&A speed limits.
  • Each Rocketballz RBZ Tour fairway comes fitted with a Ozik XCON 7 graphite shaft. Weighing only 75 grams, this tour specification shaft is heavier and stiffer than the standard offering for improved workability and accuracy.

    The taylormade rocketballz tour fairway is the best fairway going, i went with 13* tour spoon and love it, very long but being that low handicap went with tour model which adds control but the main thing about it is RBZ factor mine is 18.2 yards over my sq machspeed fairway well worth the money and i would advise anyone with handicap in single figures to get one (please note i have changed the shaft so numbers may be effected)

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        couldnt get any better preformance from it but its not to durablethe head was ripped off after 3 weeks and i have never hit it badly of the deck, overall a very good club and a very good price.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
