I prefer to wear metal spikes in winter as they provide better grip on wet or frosty surfaces especially on winter tee boxes. These spikes are suitable for Footjoy shoes.

Good value spikes. Ideal in the winter months as they provide good grip and don't clog up like soft spikes can. Remember to tread purposefully on greens to prevent damaging them.

I prefer in the winter to use proper golf shoe spikes as they give me a better grip and make me feel safer on sloping ground round the course. Having slipped on one occasion when playing the shoe spikes are unbeatable and very necessary.
