Titleist Pro V1 Practice Golf Balls (Dozen)

Used by over 450 Tour Professionals Worldwide the Titleist Pro V1 and Titleist Pro V1X golf balls represent the pinnacle of technological excellence and are quite simply...The No.1 Ball In Golf! Pro V1 & Pro V1X Features:-
    Pro V1 Features:
    • The Titleist Pro V1 golf ball is a Urethane Elastomer covered 3 piece multi-component golf ball featuring enhanced aerodynamics with a slightly higher flight for longer distance, soft feel and 'Drop-And-Stop' control.
    • A higher coverage 392 dimple design contributes to a penetrating trajectory for long, consistent distance.
    • The staggered wave parting line replaces the traditional seam to provide longer distance from an enhanced ball flight.
    • An A.I.M (Alignment Integrated Marking) sidestamp is an integrated guide which helps to line up putts for extra accuracy.
    Pro V1X Features:
    • The Titleist Pro V1X golf ball is a Urethane Elastomer covered 4 piece multi-component technology featuring enhanced aerodynamics with a slightly lower flight for longer distance, softer feel and improved greenside playability.
    • A softer Urethane Elastomer cover results in higher spin with irons for improved workability.
    • A staggered wave parting line replaces the traditional seam to provide longer distance from an enhanced ball flight.
    • The A.I.M (Alignment Integrated Marking) sidestamp is an integrated guide which helps to line up putts for extra accuracy.
    • 'Practice' is the common name used for a golf ball that a manufacturer considers to be imperfect for aesthetic reasons only, e.g., paint or printing errors and, therefore, has printed 'Practice' on the golf ball. These balls play exactly the same as brand new balls, but at a fraction of the original cost!
    • USGA Rule 5-1/4 states that these balls can be used in competition if allowed by your golf club. This rule can also be viewed on Titleist's very own website here.
    • Please note that each box will contain a mixture of one dozen Pro V1 and Pro V1X golf balls and the specific split of V1 / V1X balls can not be guaranteed.

In the past I've been reluctant to spend more than £15/£16 a dozen for balls as I tend to lose them before they wear out. I know I prefer a softer ball which helps around the greens so these appeared a good option to try a better Ball!
They flew straight 'even for me' and after two rounds I've only managed to lose one. I havn't noticed much difference in distance from the DT Solo but possibly a bigger hitter may.

Comments about Titleist Pro V1 Practice Golf Balls (Dozen):

These balls are superb quality but at least half the cost of a normal Pro V1. There is no noticeable defect in appearance or performance of the ball and would thoroughly recommend them.

Use for casual rounds and in club competitions as exact construction of full proV1 and proV1x so conform to R&A and USPGA rules. Need magnifying glass to see paint air holes and play like the real thing so well worth the money and two thirds the price (currently [$] - on offer). Highly recommend.

Comments about Titleist Pro V1 Practice Golf Balls (Dozen):

Given two boxes by my son for fathers day, wasn't too sure whether they were seconds or not. I usually play with TM Burner TP but found these to be a whole lot better. Good mixture of PROV1 and PROV1x. These are the real thing at an unrealistic price. I can live with practice written on my ball; especially at [£xxx] a box. Exellent balls.

Comments about Titleist Pro V1 Practice Golf Balls (Dozen):

I know the box states "models enclosed may vary", but I'm a little frustrated with this purchase. I've had several boxes from various shops in the past and always had a 50/50 split V1/V1x 2009 balls. The 2-pack multibuy I received from Direct Golf included (by research) a few 2007 balls, but the vast majority were 2003/2005 models, which have a noticeable bland band where dimples don't adjoin like recent models. And of course, that's just the surface technology. This has somewhat made the seemingly fantastic price at DG seem questionable - cheapest find, oldest balls. I also used up a small discount when purchasing. I'd rather pay a little more in-person in a shop after seeing which balls I'd be getting. Ironically Titleist's own website claims "golf balls can be safely stored for five years or even more", but that, "if you're playing balls that were made more than a couple of years ago, you may be missing out on improvements"!
