Product Specifications
Shaft:
Graphite
Shaft Manufacturer:
Proprietory
Handicap Range:
Mid-High
Features:
- A masive 460cc head features a shallower face to produce a wider club from from to back. This wider design produces the highest MOI (Moment Of Inertia) ever in a Callaway all Titanium head. This reduces club head twist on off centre strikes for straighter drives.
- The distinctive sole design of the Callaway Big Bertha 460 driver allows the club to sit dead square at address for extra confidence and promote straighter drives.
- Callaway have modified their famous VFT Technology to give a more robust face to give increased ball speeds on all shots.
- **This driver has a COR of 0.83 or less so it will be perfectly legal to use through 2008!**
- A 'Correct Alignment Stripe' placed on the top edge of the face is visible at address. This works in conjunction with the Chevron logo, allowing golfers to consistently square the club face at address to ensure correct alignment.
- Fitted with a top quality Big Bertha 460 NVS graphite shaft made by Aldila to give extra club head speed for more distance.
- The matching headcover is included FREE when you place your order through the website.

Purchased this club a month ago and have now given it several rounds. In a word Outstanding easy to hit straight with good control, as for distance it is right up there with the best on the market. I have no need to change this club for a long time to come. What a cracker!

This Driver is excellent, it is so easy to hit - I cant emphasize this enough! Off centre hits will move away from the target line of course, however you still get fantastic distance. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is it is quite difficult to shape the ball, but you cant have everything. Brilliant Confidence builder and will improve your game.

Very happy with this purchase. Didnt do my research and ended up picking up the 8degree version but it hits long and straight and as a high handicapper you cant ask for much more. So pleased Ive now purchased the 3wood and will be replacing my 5wood with the same soon.

I was searching for a replacement for my illegal Big Bertha II+ but none of the many I tried performed as well and I wasnt prepared to settle for less performance. Even such as the Callaway FT-i and the new Titleists were no improvement. Having tried and liked the new BB in November I finally went back to it in March and immediately knew it was the best option. The head feels solid, unlike some of the new composite heads, and gives you something to hit with. I also find I dont need to adjust my style when I particularly want a draw - as Sam Snead once said "I just think "draw""!
Im a moderate hitter but stillwent for the 9 degree stiff shaft as I feel I can hit it as solidly as I like but still get a true strike, whereas a regular shaft comes through at a variable face angle. I would rather be straight than a bit longer. If you are a low handicapper (Im off 5 at 64 years of age) most pros will say you need fancier technology, but give this a try and save £100 or more. It sits behind the ball beautifully - a long-hitting friend of mine bought one immediately he saw me using mine and hits it colossal distances (10 degree stiff).
The Sumo2 on this site looks fantastic value at the price, if I were still in the market I would compare the two, but Im happy with what I have bought - dont forget, a drive can only cost you shots so keeping them in play is the first requirement.
