Cleveland Classic 270 Driver

  • The Classic Driver is currently in the bag of Cleveland Staff pro's Keegan Bradley and David Toms. Keegan Bradley says "Honestly, I think it's one of the best drivers I've ever hit. I think it's going to change the way drivers are made. It's awesome."
  • The Classic 270 Driver features a classic and retro design which is unique amongst modern drivers with regards to the traditional persimmon colour scheme. This advanced combination of style and performance makes this 460cc titanium driver perfect for any golfer.
  • The pear shaped club head design has the largest, deepest club face ever produced by Cleveland Golf. This deeper clubface gives you a larger effective hitting area to inspire confidence when you step onto the tee.
  • The club face also features a gold coloured trapezoid section down the centre to enhance the retro look whilst also doubling as the perfect alignment aid. This face also gives you a greater amount of shot shaping control and a more penetrating ball flight for optimum performance.
  • A MaxCOR2 Face Thickness technology helps to reduce the face weight while still increasing the 'trampoline' effect you get on off centre hits from the tee. A ultra-thin crown allows the weight to be perfectly re-distributed for the optimum launch angle.
  • The centre of the club head features a 'Sole Rib' which gives the club a solid sound and feel for amazing feedback when you strike the ball. A rear weight slug has been placed in the lowest and deepest part of the club head to offer you maximum forgiveness and a lower Centre Of Gravity.
  • Cleveland Golf use the RightWeight Fitting System in all of their latest hardware which allows the overall weight of the club to 270 grams, This makes the club heads head weight only 193 grams. This system allows every type of player to get optimum performance and feel.
  • Cleveland focused the Classic 270 Driver on using Ultralite technology. This bases the clubs design and performance on making the club as light as possible so you can increase your club head speed and therefore increase your distance.
  • Fitted with a Miyazaki C. Kua 39 Limited Edition graphite shaft to help lower the overall club weight to increase swing speed with the same amount of effort put into the swing. This shaft is the lightest shaft ever played on the PGA Tour.

      Took this out today and was immediately impressed with the distance on offer. I have the Classic 270 with a stiff shaft in 9 degrees - strangely it didn't feel light and I could make normal swings without any adjustments. The ball flies off the face on a boring trajectory and because of the deep face you can literally tee it up or down to adjust the flight. Definitely longer than my Titleist 910, but I would say slightly less forgiving. Great price from Direct Golf too.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
