Wilson Staff - Spine Driver

I have a Spine 10.5 driver and went for the stiff flex (as I swing quite fast!), and it has made a massive difference for me. I upgraded around christmas from a Wilson fat shaft driver, and can now hit a good 50 yards longer and a lot straighter. Can now hit this to nearly 300yrds! This club does what it says on the tin. Is designed for medium/high handicappers (Im off 18)and does add confidence when youre stood on the tee. As people have said, the noise is a talking point, but thats normally because people are jealous of the distance compared to their drives! NB. Ive also just bought the spine 3 wood, and again this is a relevation for me - always used to slice or duff my old 3 wood, but the Spine 3 wood is awesome. Last Sat on a 500+yrd par 5, hit spine driver, then spine3 wood (was 254yrds out) - on the green in 2 and just missed my eagle putt - tap in for a birdie! Couldnt have done that 6 months ago, and thats why Id recommend the Spines.

fantastic driver ive had a problem with fading recently but now ive changed my stance and grip im averging 310-315yds off the tee and 8 out of ten drives hitting the fairway i even hit a 316yd par4 green in one. brilliant job wison

Excellent driver tried out a number of drivers but found this to be longer and straight than any other on the market. Sounds and feels great - Well done Wilson

It has certainly added some distance to my drives - I can now drive 275 - 290 yards on occasions. Nice weight balance to the club and seems very light compared to my Clevland XL Hi Bore abd Calloway 460. Only downside if there is one is the sound it makes when you strike the ball - rather that a "Ting" you get a "Donk" - my playing partners now call me Tin Tin but they still cant outdrive me!

I have had a lot of drivers - recently the Cleveland Hibore XL. I wanted a new driver to the 2008 season and bought the Spine, 10,5 degree, regular shaft. Its a fantastic driver - with a smooth swing i smashed it 248 meter at the longest, aprox 210 at the shortest - and the best part = they were straight! In my opinion one of the best drivers at the market right now!
