Mickelson backs Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods

08/04/2009
Callaway's Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods will remain the top choice for world number one Phil Mickelson.

The golfer has extended his partnership with the firm and hopes to be playing with Big Bertha clubs for the rest of his career.

Mickelson, who has already praised the new FT-9 driver and used an Odyssey White Hot putter to sink the winner at the WGC-CA competition, outlined his support for the brand.

He said: "I can't imagine playing this game without Callaway management's support behind me and Callaway's equipment in my bag.

"Both have contributed to my success and I'm planning on their support throughout the rest of my professional career."

George Fellows, president and chief executive of Callaway Golf, added: "He's clearly one of the most talented golfers ever to play the game and we're proud to have our equipment in his hands as he continues towards the World Golf Hall of Fame."

As well as Callaway's Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods and the FT-9 driver, Mickelson currently plays with X-Forged wedges and Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons.
