Tiger Woods fired a stunning approach shot with one of his
Nike Victory Red Forged TW Blade Irons to help him secure a one-shot victory in the Memorial Tournament in Ohio.
Woods struck a seven-iron to within inches of the pin at the last hole to finish with back-to-back birdies and a one-stroke victory over fellow American Jim Furyk.
The victory was the fourth Woods had gained at the tournament and shows that he is in good form ahead of the US Open, which is being played at Bethpage's Black Course in New York in just under two weeks time.
Woods also showed more control with his strokes after finding all 14 fairways during his final round, which included opting for a three-iron off the tee on the last.
He said: "You had to hit it up the right side. For me, five-wood runs out of room. So I decided to hit three-iron and just make sure - I knew three-iron could get me past those trees.
"[Then it was a] seven-iron into the green and just try to line the ball up on top anywhere to the right. If it makes it, great. If it doesn't, I've got a 15, 20-footer."
Woods previously won the US Open at the same course as the event is to be held this year back in 2002, where he finished three-under-par after four rounds, three shots ahead of Phil Mickelson.
