After being "tour-tested" by the likes of Adam Scott, Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker and Davis Love III, Titleist's new line of 909 drivers is ready to hit the shops.

The range of three clubs feature centre of gravity (CG) locations which are deeper and lower then their predecessors, according to the manufacturer.

Players opting for the 909 DComp will find the deepest and lowest CG location highest Moment of Inertia (MOI) of the collection.

The 909D2 has a mid-depth CG, allowing for stability and improved distance, with mid face depth providing launch confidence.

Finally, the 909D3 offers the greatest degree of workability, shot and trajectory control, due to its forward CG position.

"It was clear from this research that different players require different performance characteristics from their driver head in order to maximize distance," said vice president, research and development at TitleistGolf Clubs, Dan Stone.

He concluded: "Ultimately, we designed three distinct drivers to meet the launch requirements and ball flight preferences across all better player swing variations."
