Justin Leonard won the Stanford St Jude Championship in Tennessee after a 19-foot birdie putt in the second hole of a play-off saw off his two rivals.
American Leonard, South African Trevor Immelman and Australian Robert Allenby all finished four under par.
Masters Champion Allenby then failed to pot his 22-foot birdie putt and Immelman missed from 11 feet.
Leonard finished at 68, Allenby with 65 and Immelman had 69.
All three had been behind South African Tim Clark at the start of the day, but he slid to six over par at 76.
"I've kind of been back in the pack a little bit and was able to shoot a really solid round," 35-year-old Leonard said.
Leonard was one-shot ahead at the 15th, but a bogey at the 17th put him back in the three-way at four-under.
