Play got underway today (Friday, June 6th) at the Bank Austria GolfOpen, after day one was postponed due to flooding at the Fontana Golf Club.
Home favourite Martin Wiegele has reached eight-under par after 16 holes to lead by two shots this morning.
Organisers were mulling over whether to take a decision to reduce the tournament to 54 holes in light of the bad weather.
Detailing the current state of the course, the European Tour tournament director for this week's event, Miguel Vidaor, commented: "The bunkers have a lot of water in them but I am sure the greens staff can cope with that. The biggest problem we are facing now is the fairways."
The cut could be reduced from the 65 top players with ties to the first 50.
Richard Bland was the best of the Brits on the lunchtime leaderboard, four shots back in a group on four-under par as he reached the 11th hole.
