US Ryder Cup home favourite Kenny Perry insists that the Kentucky faithful will not mar the proceedings at the showpiece of team golf this weekend.
American fans were reported to have heckled the European players, adding to an uneasy atmosphere as the US grabbed their last Ryder Cup win at Brookline, Massachusetts, in 1999.
But
TaylorMade's Perry foresees no similar problems this year and expects his fellow Kentuckians to behave themselves.
He told AFP: "I think people here are real sports fans.
"This is a great state, obviously with the [Kentucky] Derby and Ali. It's going to be boisterous - we want that - we want to have an incredible atmosphere out here and I think we are going to get that."
Perry has been teamed with Jim Furyk for the last match in Friday's foursomes against dangerous European combo Sergio Garcia and Lee Westwood.
