Rookie Kim unperturbed by Ryder Cup pressure

He may be the youngest player to turn out for a US Ryder Cup team, but 23-year-old Anthony Kim is taking it all in his stride.

The Nike Golf endorsee is looking forward to capping off a year which has brought him the Wachovia Championship and AT&T National by facing off against Europe at Valhalla this weekend.

It sounds like the young talent saddled with the burden of being tagged as 'the next Tiger Woods', is excited rather than intimidated by the occasion: "This is what I've worked toward.

"I feel like this is a huge accomplishment in my life, something I'll never forget, and I'm looking forward to having a great week."

Few clues have been provided in practice as to which player Kim will be paired with for Friday's fourballs and foursomes.

The Californian played with Phil Mickelson, Justin Leonard and Hunter Mahan – and captain Paul Azinger has hinted that he would consider placing two rookies in the same pairing.
