Up-and-coming stars will be the main focus for US golf in 2011, according to PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem.
The chief said that while 2010 has been a good season for US golf, citing the performances of Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler as particular highlights, 2011 will be about improving.
"I think the takeaway on the competition side of 2010, more than anything else, was the tremendous interest in young players coming up," he said.
Fowler, 21, became the first rookie in US history to be chosen as a captain's pick for the Ryder Cup, while 26-year-old Johnson landed two titles this year and finished in the final group at a major twice.
"I've never in my tenure seen so much buzz and interest about rookies and young players creating exciting performances," Mr Finchem added.
"Actually, it has led us to conclude that we really need to focus on that dynamic as we go into 2011."
