Ian Poulter has claimed that he has every chance of defending his Singapore Open title despite a disappointing run of form in recent months.
The Englishman won the Accenture World Match Play in February but has only managed one top-ten finish since, at the Masters two months later.
However, Poulter, who uses a
King Cobra ZL driver, insisted that he is on the brink of rediscovering his best form after finishing 13th at last week's WGC-HSBC Champions.
"I made a few silly mistakes last week but they were silly mental mistakes that resulted because of the lack of concentration and they were very costly," he said.
"But overall my game is in good shape, I'm making a lot of birdies and if I can carry that into this week and put aside the silly mistakes of last week, then I have a good feeling that I can perform well again this week."
The 34-year-old admitted that his performances have been "a little flat" in the middle part of the season, but stated that he is looking to replicate his Ryder Cup form in Singapore.
Poulter produced some inspired golf at Celtic Manor, winning three points from his four matches as Europe regained the trophy they lost to the US at Valhalla in 2008.
