Adam Scott holds the clubhouse lead at the halfway stage of the Singapore Open after producing his second successive 65 at the Sentosa Golf Club.
Playing on the easier Tanjong lay-out, the
Titleist MB irons user matched the score he registered earlier in the day on the Serapong course to move to 12 under par.
Scott, who won the event in 2005 and 2006, was delighted with his performance during a tough day which saw him reach the turn in 29 during his second round.
He said: "It was a good day overall. It was a long day - 30 holes of golf - so I'm pleased with the outcome overall.
"It was a shame to slow down a bit on the back nine but that's golf I suppose. It's out there and you still have to go out and make the putts if you are going to score well."
Scott holds a two-shot lead over defending champion Ian Poulter, who surged through the field by following up his opening round of 69 with a stunning 63.
US Open champion Graeme McDowell is also in contention on nine under par, alongside Fredrik Andersson Hed of Sweden and South Korea's Kyung-nam Kang.
However, many players in the 200-strong field are yet to compete their second rounds after a four-hour delay yesterday (November 11th) due to rain and possible lightning.
