Europe’s No.1 Award Winning Specialist Golf Retailer

Direct Golf - Still Number 1

30/12/2010
When it came to reigning champions, 2010 was not a good year.

Things worked out perfectly for England's Lee Westwood when we saw Tiger Woods' reign as world champion come to an end. Tiger had held the number 1 spot since just before the 2005 U.S. Open - that's more than 5 years!

We also saw the end of Lorena Ochoa's reign as the number 1 female golfer in the world after over 3 years. The 28 year old decided to end her career on top in order to focus her time and efforts on her family.

Every single one of the major men's championships changed hands this year, and of course Europe reclaimed the Ryder Cup from the trophy cabinet of the Americans.

One title that has not changed hands, however, is that of Best Mail Order Retailer as voted by the readers of Today's Golfer Magazine, which has gone to Direct Golf for the sixth year running! That's longer than Tiger Woods, Lorena Ochoa, or any other world champion - and Direct Golf is still number one!

You can take advantage of our unwavering commitment to combining the highest service and quality with great prices at our January sale, which started on boxing day.
