I'm a 15-year returner to golf, and so much has changed since I last played any regular golf.

I had gone to my local Direct Golf to try out the Wilson GE1200s but after hitting a few 7-irons in the practice bay with them and also the 7-iron from the John Letters set, it was clear even to my beginner's status that the John Letters set was going to be much more suited to my game

With the Wilsons, I had a tendency to pull inside on my backswing, but I had no such issues with these clubs. They felt more natural and better weighted and I consistently hit straighter and farther with the John Letters.

The woods, irons and putter are all excellent quality and look great with their mirrored finish. My only small gripe is that I would have preferred a cart-bag option, but the supplied stand-bag is also excellent quality.

All-in-all this is a great beginners' set for anyone taking up the game, either for the first time or as a returning player to the game.

I used these clubs the day they arrived... they look great, feel great. Hit 150 yards with my old driver, did 250 with this driver. The clubs feel well made, as though they could take a few off shots ;)

A great set for starting out.

As a complete beginner, these clubs have proved the ideal upgrade over the 15-year-old set of no-name irons and woods that I was given to start with! All the clubs seem to be excellently constructed and finished, with the exception of the putter - the machined face of the head had some very sharp edges but as an engineer it was nothing that 5 minutes with a fine file couldn't cure. It remains to be seen how they perform out on the course as opposed to the range (I started playing at a bad time of year so all my time has been spent at the the driving range so far) but if initial impressions are anything to go by, I'm looking forward to using them in anger. I would certainly recommend these clubs and the bag and head-covers as an upgrade for improvers or as a set for a complete beginner.

Having just taken up golf to make up a 4 ball I am well and truly hooked. This set offered the best value for money compared to similar package sets on offer. It gives the most clubs to give an almost complete set. Excellent.

these clubs are fantastic. They are fantastic quality and the driver has a large sweet spot so my drives are more forgivable. The quality of the woods and hybrids are excellent and will come in very handy on those longer courses and tricky tee shots where i need the extra control.
The bag you get with the clubs is great too. It has a Soft feel valuables zip up pocket aswell as a cool pouch for your drink in the summer and lots of pocket space.

I'm starting out playing golf again after a 25 years halt. These john Letters Clubs are the best around for a starters package. My fellow golfers haven't stopped trying them out.

I love these clubs. They look substantial and they feel great. I tried the Wilson set first, then tried these. These ones felt the business and you get a lot for your money. I`am new to golf but I`am sure this set will last a good while.
