This is a great set of clubs and a great price!This is also the very first set of clubs that Ive purposely purchased for myself as well. I spent a couple hours down at the [...] shop giving various clubs a test run and found the Wilsons to be the best of the bunch in its price category.As Im a beginner I wanted something that didn't cost the earth, yet had some quality and felt good in the hand. The Wilsons are all of these things. In fact, they have surpassed all of my expectations for a set of clubs in the sub £200 category.I had initially gone to get the Adams T8 hybrid set but in spite of really trying to like these clubs I just couldn't make it happen. I then tried the Wilson Fatshaft, Swing master packaged set, the RAM set and the Jaxx set. The Fatshaft and Swing masters didn't feel right, the Ram's were a bit harsh and I couldn't hit the side of a disabled barn door with the Jaxx BUT the Wilsons felt right in the hand from the get go.I did have some problems with getting to ball to go straight with the driver, but that's probably more to do with my poor technique than the quality of the club. The fairway driver and the hybrid are two of the sweetest clubs Ive EVER used and the irons are fantastic!In fact, I had my first round with these clubs the day after purchase and what a difference it makes to a game! Miss hits (and there were plenty!) still went in the general direction of where I was aiming AND no "vibrations of death" at any stage of the round! When you get the shot right it really is very satisfying with these clubs!Probably the only let down, though, is the putter. Its pretty tinny so Ill probably be looking to replace this pretty soon.All in all though, this is a fantastic set of clubs at a fantastic price! I am very happy with the clubs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to get in to the game that is on a tight budget.However (there is always a however), I think its vital that you go down and have a test drive with a few different sets of clubs because what works for me may not necessarily work for you.[...]
