Mizuno - MP R-12 Chrome Wedge

  • A new round head shape, with a gorgeous and classical appearance, gives a solid appearance which is easy to align at address. This design incorporates playability and versatility and some of the latest features to maximise the amount of spin you from the club head.
  • Forged from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel, each Mizuno's MP R-12 wedge provides a pure, soft club-head feel that holds the ball a fraction longer on full pitch shots.
  • On shorter shots where the ball does not fully compress, CNC milled score-lines between the grooves ensure maximum traction.
  • A wider, shallower version of Mizuno's 'Quad Cut' groove is used on 56-64 degree models to assist traction on the shorter shots - where the ball cannot fully compress. Over 50-54 degrees, 'Quad Cut' uses a narrower, deeper configuration, suitable for fuller, squarer strikes.
  • Each loft has it’s own different sole geometry which makes certain variations better for distinct situations which are highlighted below.
  • 50° & 52° wedges feature a triple cut sole which is well suited for full shots from the fairway or rough.
  • 54°- 58° wedges feature a C-Grind provides a large amount of toe relief whilst maintaining heel bounce for shots played from bunkers.
  • 60° & 64° wedges feature the aggressive M-Grind for maximum versatility when playing a lob wedge shot especially from tight lies or tall rough.
  • Each Mizuno MP R-12 wedge fully conforms to the 2011 groove regulations.
  • Fitted with Dynamic Gold shafts as standard, for superb control, consistency and feel.
