John Letters Master Model Tour Black Beta Ti Driver

John Letters Master Model Facts:- The John Letters place in the club makers’ Hall of Fame was secured in 1947, with the launch of the now legendary Master Model. In that same year, the great Irish Golfer Fred Daly used the Master Model to win The Open and the British Matchplay Championship, Europe’s two premier golfing events at the time. Immediately thereafter the Master Model became the club that everyone wanted to play!
  • The John Letters Master Model Tour Black Driver uses a 440cc head constructed with a powerful Beta Titanium face which has been designed to give you the ultimate transfer of power, distance, performance and looks.
  • A minimalistic clubhead design provides you with absolutely no distractions at address so it will inspire confidence behind the ball whilst looking stunning in your bag!
  • Aimed squarely at the accomplished golfer, the Master Model Tour Black Beta Ti driver features a classic pear shaped clubhead which has a face set one degree open to give an 'optical' square look at address, which is favoured by better players.
  • The super-slippery aerodynamic head shape gives less drag through the air for extra clubhead speed and therefore more distance.
  • State-of-the-art premium Plasma welding technology has been used to attach the Beta Ti face to the body of the clubhead. This super precise welding process is stronger, lighter and neater than traditional welding methods and delivers a more explosive face for extra distance.
  • 'Feel Cell' technology in the sole of the clubhead helps to disperse vibrations at impact, giving an improved sound and solid feel.
  • The club is finished with an immaculate black PVD finish which involves coating the head with a thin film which enhances the durability of the titanium with a strong coating along with giving it an attractive black colour.
  • John Letters have joined forces with Aldila and fitted each driver with the superb Aldila RIP Beta graphite shaft. This partnership between Aldila, makers of the highest quality shafts and the industry leading techniques used by John Letters, delivers unbelievable quality and unparalleled performance.
  • Both the Aldila RIP shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip have been installed 'Face Down' so that the graphics and writing can not be seen at address. This method is preferred on the professionals tours to ensure absolutely no distractions.
  • The matching deluxe John Letters headcover is included free when you place your order through the website!

My weak shot is a high push fade ( probably 12% with previous taylormades, cleveland and ping drivers)maybe hit 3 with this driver in 300 on course shots. If anything missing more fairways lft than right, at leat adds distance lol.Tried numerous "big brand drivers" but this averaged 10yds longer on well struck drives, add to that the price £199 plus free fairway wood (review alpha RIP shafts geunuine item £100 each}However combine the dispertion rate probably averages nearly 40yards on average. Ok so letters is the skoda of golf clubs but now have letters driver 17 degree fairway wood {flies high and straiaight. This compliments my cleveland 3wd 13* low flight fairway. ONE TIP FROM MY EXPERIENCE TEE IT UP 1/2 a BALL LOWRE< but experimint. low penetrating flight. I have stiff shaft 9* 96mph swing speed. Today hit 2 drives over 290 (down breeze not a wind)Hope they add the RIP alpha shaft for long hitters. Thank you JL but must mention DARREN AT SOLIHULL again no pressure (see my prototype iron review s300 shaft).
          Hope this has been useful.
          Good luck all.birmingham

Really solid driver with classic looks. Lower penetrating ball flight. John letters products have never appealed to me until I went to a demo day . Try the masters irons and grind wedges awesome. Not only that these tried and tested models have been around three years . At least. You know they won't be adding another number or z to the sole and claiming an extra 10 yards in two months time!!!! LOL
Very long and very durable 10 out of 10 john letters

Visited DG Dundee looking for a new driver, after trying various top brands on the simulator which I was not happy with I was asked to try the MM Tour Black. Normally I use a 10.5 deg. but after testing it out I went for a 9 deg. Great driver, great purchase, never had any regrets.

Bought this driver and 15 degree 3 wood, these clubs are the best and longest I have ever hit. Previously had Taylormade Rocket ballz, R9, R7 CGB max I am converted to John Letters.

I VISITED D/G IN EDINBURGH LOOKING FOR A ROCKETBALZ DRIVER TO REPLACE MY FAITHFUL TAYLORMADE R7 DRIVER,WHICH AFTER MANY YEARS OF GREAT SERVICE,WAS GIVING ME MAJOR HOOKING PROBLEMS.ALTHOUGH THEY WERE HAPPY FOR ME TO TRY LOTS OF DRIVERS ON THE MONITOR THEY WERE PUSHING THE LETTERS MASTER MODEL.I KNEW THAT LETTERS WAS PART OWNED BY D/G BUT WAS HAPPY TO GIVE IT A TRY,BECAUSE MY STATS WERE SHOWING THAT A LOWER SPIN AND LOWER TRAJECTORY DRIVER WOULD SUIT ME.MY RESULTS WITH THE MASTER MODEL WERE GOOD SO I TOOK A CHANCE AND BOUGHT IT.
NOW 2 MONTHS LATER I HAVE HARDLY MISSED A FAIRWAY WITH THE DRIVER AND HAVE JUST BOUGHT 2 MATCHING FAIRWAY WOODS TO GO WITH DRIVER .
THESE ARE QUALITY WOODS,GIVE THEM A LOOK

I got fitted for this driver in DG Dundee (great info from Euan) and couldn't believe the control it offers. It's heavier than most but that makes it easier to stay on plane and square the face. I've added 20 yards overnight, while mis-hits finish at side of fairway with low penetrating flight. I wouldn't have looked at this if it wasn't put in my hand. Just try it. It's superb, what a bat!

Have a 22 handicap, and this club as given me amazing confidence, gained 35 yds on the Mizuno JPX 800 and it's straight the majority of the time. I have recently purchased the T9i hybrids again superb.

Had a fitting session on the new simulator at the Cambridge store. Compared this against the new Taylormade, Nike and Mizuno drivers. This was the longest of the lot, my average carry was around 265 yards from the 9 degree stiff. That's a good 25 yard improvement on my old driver which w,as a 10.5 degree regular.
It certainly looks the business too and the head cover is one of the better ones I've seen. It's says it's for the accomplished golfer but I play off 18 and can use it with great results.
