
Direct Golf UK wins a prestigious European multi channel retail award at Earls Court, London. The 2005 ECMOD
(European Catalogue and Mail-order Days) Awards had over 1000 entries from the multi channel sector with many
blue chip companies attending the ceremony including Next, IBM, British Telecom, John Lewis, Woolworths, WH
Smiths and many more. The specific award won by Direct Golf UK was in the category of “Best Transactional
Website” From the initial entry list an impressive shortlist of 35 companies and organisations battled
fiercely to win the prestigious award but ultimately it was Direct Golf UK who came out on top in the eyes of
the ECMOD judges. In reaching their decision criteria including quality of design, ease of use for the customer
and marketing tactics employed to attract visitors to the site were taken into consideration.
