Training & Development

At Direct Golf UK Limited we are keen to support our employees development, this is done in a number of ways to ensure you get the most out of your career with us.

Induction

Your career at Direct Golf UK Limited would start with an in depth induction programme which would be carried out in conjunction with your line manager and the Human Resources department. This would cover all aspects of the work you will carry out and takes place over a period of 2 months, at the end of this time you will review everything with your line manager and set some targets for the next 12 months.

Appraisals

You will meet with your manager annually to review the past 12 months and to set K.P.I’s for the following 12 months. This is an opportunity to discuss any training needs you might have to develop your career with Direct Golf UK Limited.

Work Place Training

As with any role there will always be work place training given which helps you improve in real life situations. This is done in a variety of ways, by your line manager or product training given by manufacturers of golf equipment. This ensures our employees product knowledge is the best in the business and our customers can benefit from a wealth of experience.

External Training

At Direct Golf UK Limited, we are affiliated with a specialist in Communication and Sales training. All our retail staff benefit from 2 designated training days specially tailored to our business. On top of this they benefit from one to one training delivered in store which is designed to help them with their own personal areas of weakness.

CPD courses

Any member of staff wishing to participate in any CPD courses needs to speak with their manager with regards to whether the company would fund this.

The PGA

As a recognised PGA training centre we offer our employees the opportunity to gain qualifications with the PGA.
