TaylorMade R11 Irons (4-PW)

  • The TaylorMade R11 irons are engineered for the player who favours a traditional blade but appreciates the near effortless ease required to launch the ball high, straight and long.
  • Combining the distance and forgiveness found in the legendary Burner 2.0 along with the feel and precision of the Tour Preferred line, the R11 irons are engineered for the player who favours a traditional blade but appreciates the near effortless ease required to launch the ball high, straight and long.
  • The R11 irons are truly a master work of beauty, technology and performance, with an extraordinarily beautiful appearance, a gorgeous blend of smooth, classic lines and high-tech flourishes.
  • The striking red Precision Weighting Port (PWT) technology allows TaylorMade engineers to guarantee precise swing weight and ensure centre-face Centre of Gravity (CG) location in every iron to promote optimised ball flight in the long, middle and short-irons.
  • Progressive CG location positions the CG low in the longer irons to make them easier to launch, and higher in the shorter irons. Wider soles in the longer irons pull the CG lower for easier, higher launch while also increasing MOI to make them more stable and forgiving.
  • The ultra thin face construction of the R11 irons promotes faster ball speed and distance in long and short irons. Additional forgiveness comes from Inverted Cone Technology, which promotes faster ball speed on off-centre hits.
  • The sole of the R11 irons are slightly thinner and the leading edge is a little sharper, helping it to enter and exit the turf quickly and smoothly.
  • The R11 irons incorporate an advanced, USGA and R&A conforming groove design to promote more increased spin and control from the rough.
  • The R11 iron is unquestionably the most beautiful cavity back iron ever introduced by TaylorMade. The appearance at address is simple and traditional, with the top line melting seamlessly into the hosel.
  • TaylorMade's R&D department have perfected an advanced sound and vibration system within the R11 irons to deliver the feel better players demand.
  • Fitted with top quality KBS 90 steel shafts as standard.
  • Full Set 4-PW.

Great clubs to help drop handicap

Great clubs - upgraded to these last week after trying a few different sets out from top end names to new companies on the golf scene. These clubs are comfortable easiest way to describe it. Don't have the feeling of I must hit this hard and well otherwise my hole is going to be rubbish. Dropping handicap due to playing stronger and straighter with these clubs into the green and making it stick. Also added a 50 and 56 degree wedges to the set.
Recommend for high to mid handicappers who want to improve their game - not s stop gap club can easily use these to get down to low teens handicap.
Mishits don't hurt the hands but you get feedback from the clubs sounds when you do but still get distance.
Thank you to the romford store for their help and suggestions of other clubs to try out and letting me make decision on what clubs to buy.

I replaced my Letters T9 irons that served me well with these 10 days ago....I have been cut 5 shots in that time!!! I am a realist and its not all down to the irons but the shorter clubs have a tremendous soft feel and the ball zings out of the middle, the longer ones are not scarey on a miss hit. .....and they look great to boot!!!

Well i used letters t9 range b4 these and was finding it hard work to get the ball far enough and on target.
The R11 TM have given me an extra 30-50 yards and so easy to hit the ball in line with the flag, makes you turn round to see if tiger is stood behind having just taken the shot. I am over the moon!!!

Just played my first 9 holes with these irons, very impressed . Plenty of ball height with these irons and the ball stops real quick when it lands on the green. Plus a good 10 to 15 yards more distance. Also very light to carry. My old set of big bertha's are showing how tech has moved on in the last 10 years.

Got these fitted at the solihull store, compared 3 sets of irons and these won, nice top line and had them fitted by staff. Hit the range yesterday and hitting it a lot better. Recommend the extra for custom fit as it makes a difference.

Looks great. Feels great. I upgraded from a very forgiving large cavity back club to these a few months ago in the hope that I will gain distance. And I did. I wouldn't recomend for a high handicap but if your improving your game or a mid - low handicap and still want the forgiveness of a small cavity then you must try these clubs. I have played a couple of rounds and put in a few hours of range work with these and hit a variety of shots with all the clubs. You get great feedback for the face and the sound it makes. Miss hits aren't as painful as you may think when looking at them. They are quiet forgiving. I haven't actually hit a shot and embarrassed myself (yet). I think the only way to get more distance from a club is to hit a blade. I'm really impressed. But you pay for this. They are expensive.

Just a great club cannot wait till i get my hands on the whole set in the middle of September.

A bit pricey but worth it.
