Melissa Reid won the Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters with amazing style on an impressive 9 under par. The victory was made even more emotinal as this was Melissa's first start since the tragic death of her mother a month ago.
Playing the 18th hole in the final round Reid had to magic up a par to hold off Italian Diana Luna who was sitting in the clubhouse after finishing on 8 under.
After rolling in her par saving putt Reid was greeted by friend and fellow professionals to celebrate this win. After the round Melissa said “To be honest I wasn’t that nervous. I think with something like what’s happened to my family and me the last four weeks nothing really seems that difficult anymore,”
“It will make me fight and nothing will seem as bad as what I’ve been through, so yeah, I actually felt very calm and I knew I was going to hole the putt on 18.”
Winning the Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters has taken Reid On collecting her fourth LET victory, Reid added: “Obviously it’s very special with what the family and stuff has been through the last four weeks, so you know, hopefully, obviously it is good news to the family and will bring a smile on our faces at such a horrible time, so it means a lot.”
